Jennifer Jasper will direct as Live Girls! Theater presents the 15th installment of their longest running program, Quickies! This trademark short play event features 7 short plays on the themes of Science and Magic – all written by women and featuring up and coming local directors and actors. Past editions of Quickies have taken audiences to post-apocalyptic worlds, traveling through real-life board games or searching for lost dreams – where will Quickies 15 take you? Chicken Jenny was a bird who wanted to walk the straight and narrow. She wanted to pack her shameful secrets in a steamer trunk and sink ‘em to the bottom of the deep blue sea. But trouble followed her like a pack o’ dogs chasing a meat truck on a hot July day.
Printer’s Devil Theater in association with Theatre Off Jackson presents Animal Cruelty by Scot “Sgt Rigsby” Augustson, directed by Jennifer Jasper, featuring the voices of Stephen Hando, Shannon Kipp, Stacey Plum and Roy Stanton, with live music provided by Shawnmarie Stanton and Kathie Whitehall. Puppetry assistance by the nimble hands of Ben Laurance.
