I am thrilled to be writing this post as I prepare to shower and get ready to watch the amazing Megan Ahiers and Trick Danneker perform “et•y•mol•o•gy” this afternoon as part of the Final 11.
Last night was incredible and I am now just a bit exhausted, I have to admit. I spoke with playwrights, judges, friends, family all while sporting a piece of toilet paper stuck to the bottom of my shoe. But it was New York toilet paper. It was fitting. I was walking on a cloud and on a roll (ok, the roll quip was supplied by Will Arbery – another finalist). I have to give credit where credit is due.
And that’s where you come in. I will wipe the tired tears from my eyes with that piece of tissue, toss it and give thanks to all of you for giving me this experience.
